It’s time for a new travel, this time — to Europe. This year is third in a row, when I’ll start a moto travel on the border between spring and summer. In 2009 it was a travel to the Caucasus, in 2010 — round the Black sea, this time — round the whole Europe.
I decided to call the route “Trails of Europe”. Of course, nowadays it’s hard to find narrow and rarely visited roads with head traffic in the densely populated Europe. That’s why I identify secondary roads connecting small towns as the trails.

The route looks like a sea anchor. First, I’ll ride to Montenegro, than via Venice, Lichtenstein I’ll enter France. Next — Enland and Scotland (I want to ride under the English Channel). Next comes the North: Denmark — Sweden — Norway (until the Northernmost point in Laplandia I’ll manage to reach). Through Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia I’ll come back to Ukraine.
The comfortable and civil Europe. This unity of qualities is charming in its special way… You can pay more attention to the things happening round you, but not only deepen into your thoughts and rider’s actions. Thus you can enjoy the waking spring nature while moving calmly on the kempt highways and roads.
Of course I’ll miss the burst, the feeling of all my sensorium being swithed on… But instead I’ll be able to deepen into the “casuality” and open more and more unknown brinks… In my daily urban rhythm I’m not capable of it yet.
The previous counts say I’ll pass 14,000 km in about 5 weeks.
I’m planning to start in May 16 and finish in the 20th days of June. Hopefully, I’ll manage to get all UK and Schengen visas on time. My travel mate is the bike I tested in Mongolian steppes — Honda VFR-800.

I fill the route with places, which can turn my consciousness upside down, for example, the world’s highest bridge – Millau Viaduct in France, or the Geirangerfjord and the Trollstigen road in Norway (Thanks to Kirill for a hint). Now I have a month more to fill the route with the Europe’s «pearls».

Of course, meeting new and interesting people are inevitable . Looking for the people, for contacts, emailing them, arranging the meetings…
